Scope and topics:
Piezoelectric materials have been the subject of ongoing experimental and theoretical investigations due to the direct coupling between electrical signals and mechanical movements, which has facilitated an enormous number of applications in sensors, actuators and transducers.
The scope of this symposium typically covers the following topics:
1. Fundamentals of piezoelectric materials, including crystal structure, microstructure, and piezoelectric coefficients.
2. Synthesis and characterization of piezoelectric materials, including bulk, thin-film, thick film, single crystal and texture techniques.
3. Design and fabrication of piezoelectric sensors, actuators, and transducers, including ceramic, polymer, and composite materials.
4. Modeling and simulation of piezoelectric devices of sensor, actuator and transducer, including the study of static and dynamic behavior.
5. Applications of piezoelectric materials in various fields, such as energy harvesting, acoustics, vibrations, and biomedical engineering.
6. Development of novel piezoelectric materials and technologies, including nanoscale piezoelectric materials and devices.
